Selections for December 14 Reading

Selections for the December 14 Art of Poetry at the Hickory Museum of Art reading have been made and are listed below.

This should be a very interesting event as the reading will include notable area poets such as Bud Caywood, Kelly DeMaegd, Scott Owens, Doug McHargue, and others, along with 6 students from Montessori at Sandy Ford, ranging from 2nd to 6th grade, and one of the inspiring artists, himself, Robert Oren Eades. In all, there will be 23 poems from 17 different writers, and many of the inspiring works are by local artists, including James Labrenz, Clayton Joe Young, and Clay James, all of whom we hope will be able to attend and hear what their work has prompted.

The reading begins at 2:00 in the Entrance Gallery and is free and open to the public. Here is the complete list of writers and the work on which they based their poems:
